Alan David Horowitz, the grandson of legendary retailer Moe Ginsburg, comes from a long line of clothiers. Alan entered the family business in 1992. His son Benjamin entered in 2016 and daughter Shelley in 2021.
Today, Alan David Custom commissions individually crafted bespoke garments. Alan David’s unparalleled fit is built upon the expertise of skilled custom tailors and master craftsmen. First store opens
Jacob Ginsburg opens his first store on Belmont Avenue in Brooklyn.

With son Moe at his side, Jacob Ginsburg opens Kingsbury Clothing
5th Avenue opens
Moe Ginsburg opens on 5th Avenue in the Flatiron district.
Alan enters the business
Great Grandson Alan David Horowitz enters the family business.

Our measuring process is extensive and includes digital imaging as well as 23 different time tested measurements ensuring your custom tailored suits and shirts fit as close to perfect the very first time.
