Pricing
Despite our strict adherence to quality our pricing remains affordable. Men’s custom suit prices start at $1,295. First time buyers take an additional $100 off.
Turnaround
Your custom suit will be completed in 4 to 5 weeks. A 10 day rush service is also available. Alan David has never missed a deadline. Not during 9/11, not after Hurricane Sandy & not even during Covid. Alan David always delivers!
Achieve a Perfect Fit Through Basted Fittings
To ensure a superior fit, Alan David employs a traditional basted fitting. At this stage, the garment is temporarily assembled with loose basting thread, allowing clients to try it on while adjustments can still be made. This process makes it possible to refine posture, balance, and shoulder line, while also incorporating basic changes such as shortening sleeves
The basted fitting provides assurance that every measurement is precise and that the garment will deliver the highest level of comfort.

Custom suit fabrics woven in vicuna’s, 12 & 13 micron counts, as well as our exclusive Super-180’s cloth that combines plush elegance with wrinkle resistibility for that all-day crisp look.
Men’s Custom Suit Construction
Alan David commissions full bespoke suits for men. The impeccable craftsmanship we offer is the work of old-world custom tailors & master craftsmen, creating the finest custom suits NYC has to offer.
All garments contain a full canvas interior allowing for optimal structure & softness throughout the jacket.
All collars are first basted and then hand sewn into the jacket. This assures that the collar hugs the back of the neck without creasing or folding.
Our tailors hand-press every part of the garment as it is being assembled. Pressing between operations ensures the fabric will not shrink, bubble or pucker as it is worn.
Finally, all trousers are lined with a rubber gripper on the inside of the waistband. This gripper gently grasps the shirt and holds it in place as the person stands up and sits down.
