Four Generations of Custom Clothing
At Alan David Custom we will always cling to our heritage of quality over price.
From the full canvas construction to the quality of the fabrics, we are proud to say that we produce
some of the finest custom made suits New York has to offer. Put your trust in Alan David Custom,
you will not be disappointed.
Owner Alan David Horowitz comes from a long line of clothiers. Alan grew up in the clothing business. He always worked summers and winter breaks at his grandfather’s store and took a loving to it from the start (men’s custom suits in particular). He did attend college and even worked as an accountant for Deloitte & Touche for two years before returning to his roots for good in 1992. At Alan David Custom, every custom garment we produce is backed by four generations of expertise in measuring, pattern making and tailoring.
Today all Alan David Custom garments are meticulously hand sewn in our New York workshop. Nothing is outsourced or produced overseas. This allows us make sure that every garment is being produced to the highest possible standard. We do not manufacture ready-to-wear or made-to measure garments; on the contrary, our process begins with a carefully drafted, individual pattern created for each client.

Our measuring process is extensive and includes digital imaging as well as 23 different time tested measurements ensuring your custom tailored suits and shirts fit as close to perfect the very first time.
Nothing less will do. At Alan David Custom we push relationships, not sales. Our team will work with you from start to finish making sure you are comfortable every step of the way. We guarantee our garments for life, so even if you gain or lose a few pounds the alterations are on us (including our custom bespoke shirts).
